Hola !!!
Significant changes to the previous printed version (January 2007)
Rule references are to the new June 2009 rules (unless otherwise stated).
• (1 July 2008) 6.2 Add WRE
• (1 July 2008) 6.8 Regional Champions allowed extra places in WCup.
• (1 July 2008) 9.11 Add the word class to resolve ambiguity.
• WMOC 12.18: Delete “unless there are less than 50 competitors in a class, in which
case the start interval shall be 3-5 minutes” so the 2 minute start interval applies to
all classes.
• 19.4 15 metre minimum control separation for map scales 1:5000 or 1:4000.
• 20.5: Revised wording to allow a competitor to use the back-up if he/she believes the
unit is not working.
• 21.3 Change “use” to “use or carry”
• 21.4 Clarification that competitors may not use telecommunication equipment during
the competition. The organiser may require competitors to wear a tracking device.
• JWOC WCup 23.8a In the sprint competition final, times may be rounded down to
whole tenths of a second if suitable equipment, approved by the IOF, and suitable
procedures are used.
• (1 July 2008) 24.15 New rule stating that it is not permitted to publish results based
on only part of the course.
• 29.13 Add WG. The World Games jury consists of three voting members, one of
whom is appointed by the organiser.
• Appendix 2 3.5.5 15 metre minimum control separation for map scales 1:5000 or
1:4000. Controls on similar features should not be closer than 30 metres for map
scales 1:5000 or 1:4000.
• (1 July 2008) Appendix 8 New rules for the Asian Championships
