The report will be completed in the next few months over a total of 25 consultancy days. The Pack will have a practical focus and the consultant should have: -operational experience -a clear, accessible writing style -specialisation in gender, indicators and methods of measurement -a good understanding of the latest debates in research, policy and practice in the theme area -be Southern focussed, either working on or in the global South The Overview Report itself will comprise a maximum of 10,000 words, including bibliography and references. Cutting Edge Packs are written in accessible language for an audience of practitioners and policy makers. They consist of three parts: Overview Report, Supporting Resources Collection, and In Brief Bulletin. All are available online and translations have been done into Spanish, French, Chinese and Arabic where funding has allowed. Who or what are agents of change? Where are we starting from? What does 'success' look like? And how do we know if we are on track? How can we understand and build on what works in achieving positive change? How can we identify evidence of the importance of gender equality work to support advocacy efforts and for leveraging more funding? How can indicators call governments and international agencies to account?
