CALL FOR CONSULTANTS: Kvinnoforum is currently searching for consultants for a major EU project related to gender training. The project entails supporting the European Commission to mainstream gender into its development co-operation. Components include a manual on gender mainstreaming, gender training methodology notes, production of programming and training tools, a helpdesk based in Brussels, and the development and delivery of training courses in Brussels and in EC development cooperation regions. The project is due to begin at the conclusion of 2003 and run for 30 months. We are looking for both long-term and short-term staff for the following positions: 1. TEAM LEADER/PROJECT MANAGER (long-term, 30 months) Education: Degree in the social Science(s) or development studies At least 15 years' experience in managing development projects with a focal education and training component (with focus and experience in gender training) and experience in the area of international development with special focus on gender and development. 2.LONG-TERM CONSULTANTS (10 to 30 months) Education: Background in the social sciences, economics, international development or a related field. Category I At least 15 years of experience in international development work with focus on gender and development. Category II At least 8 to 10 years experience in international development, international organizations with focus on the area of gender and development, gender mainstreaming and institutional and organizational development and reform. Category III At least 5 to 8 years experience in international development, international organizations with focus on the area of gender and development, gender mainstreaming and institutional and organizational development and reform. 3.EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT EXPERTS WITH FOCUS ON TRAINING (long-term and short-term) Education: Background in the social sciences, pedagogical and educational sciences, economics, international development or a related field. At least 5 to 10 years experience in education and training (focus on gender training), international development and education, international organizations with focus on the area of gender and development, gender mainstreaming and institutional and organizational development and reform. Languages: Fluency in English or French or Spanish. Knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese for education and gender training experts highly desirable. Other additional languages are an asset.
